Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

Answer:

Yes, you can download it here: Reverbical User Manual.pdf

Answer:

  • The output is muted once in a while for some seconds
  • Saving presets and exporting to clipboard is disabled
  • Orders

    Answer:

After a successful payment, the keyfile is usually sent out within minutes. Please watch your Spam folder, and if you did not receive anything within 24 hour, please contact the Support.

Please be aware that if the payment was initiated in Paypal using an 'e-check' payment (money transfer from your bank account), then the transaction is not completed until the bank has processed the transfer, which can take significantly longer.

    Answer:

We are processing payments, on a secure connection only, using Paypal.

    Answer:

You can pay in USD or in EUR. Please click the switch below the Buy button to switch currencies.

    License, Activation, Updates

    Answer:

Just download the latest demo version and install it over the old one. The keyfile is recognized automatically.

    Answer:

There are two possible ways for activation:
    1) Open the plugin in your DAW, locate the keyfile on your harddisk with the Explorer/Finder, and drag and drop the keyfile on the plugin user interface.
    2) Open the plugin in your DAW, click on the Reverbical logo, then click Activate button, and follow the instructions, which will tell you to locate the keyfile on your harddisk.

    Answer:

If the activation fails, please make sure:
    - That the keyfile name ends with either '.keyfile' or with '.txt'. If not, just rename the file to match this suffix, and start over the activation procedure.
    - That the keyfile is valid for this version (ie not a beta version)

    Answer:

The license is bound to you as a person, not to a single computer. You can use it for activation on every computer you own and use by yourself.

This is the full paragraph in the License Agreement:
Each licensed copy is bound to the person, not to a single computer. The software may be used by the license holder on computers he/she owns and which is solely used by the user holding the license. The software may only be used on one computer at a time, or limited to the number of licenses he/she is holding, if more than one. Use of the software means that you have loaded, installed, or run the software on a computer or similar device. If you install the software onto a multi-user platform, server or network, each and every individual user of the software must be licensed separately.

    Answer:

No, the license is bound to you as a person.

    Answer:

Yes, if the license has been purchased and is not marked as an NFR (not for resale) license.
You can sell the license as soon as 6 months have passed after the purchase date, or by paying a protective charge of 10€ / 11$ via Paypal before the 6 month period.

Follow these steps if you want to resell the license:

    1. Send the complete name and email adress of the new license holder to info@realtimeonly.com
    2. In case the 6 months have not passed, we will provide you with a Paypal payment option to pay the protective charge.
    3. Unregister your license by going to the directory below, and deleting the file 'reverbical.keyfile' :
        OSX: /Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/RealtimeOnly/Reverbical/
        WIN: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\RealtimeOnly\Reverbical\
    4. The license will be transferred by us to the new license holder. A new 6 month protective period applies to the transferred license of the new license holder.

    Plugin and Presets

    Answer:

The default settings file, which is loaded when a fresh instance of the plugin is opened, can be found in the preset directory, in the Factory folder. You can modify the factory bank file, so that Reverbical will start up with the same customized and personalized settings every time.

Here is the File: In the plugin, open the Preset menu (P button) -> Select 'Show user preset directory' -> Navigate to the FactoryBank folder -> Edit 'Factory.presetbank' to your needs.

Alternatively, simply save and copy your current preset bank over to the FactoryBank folder:
Preset menu (P button) -> Select 'Save Preset bank as' -> Enter 'Factory' as name and save -> Open preset menu again -> Select 'Show user preset directory' -> Move the previously saved file named 'Factory.presetbank' from the UserBank folder into the FactoryBank folder, overwriting the original one (this can be restored later, just in case)

Restart the plugin, and you're done. Now your new file should have been automatically loaded on plugin startup.

    Answer:

If the default factory presetbank file has been modified, it can be restored automatically, by simply deleting it:
In the plugin, open the Preset menu (P button) -> Select 'Show user preset directory' -> Navigate to the FactoryBank folder -> Delete factory.presetbank file -> Open up a new plugin instance -> The factory.presetbank file should have been restored to the default
